We’re searching for a new Mechanics Designer
North Invent is looking for a skilled and motivated person to foresee the mechanics development of our computer and monitors products.
North Invent Norway AS provide well designed, reliable and flexible solutions to the marine, shipping and offshore industry with focus on visual information systems. North Invent’s headquarters are in Haugesund, Norway, while our product development takes place at our offices at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, where this position is located. Responsibilities
Product and Device Design:
- Integrating electronics and mechanics, glass and touch.
- Understanding user-friendliness in device design.
- Visual design; A sense for when something looks good and expresses quality.
Mechanical Design:
- Extruded parts in aluminium.
- Processing of sheet metal items, laser cutting, punching, bending, PEM inserts etc.
- Glue and sealing techniques.
Simulation and Analysis:
- Simulation of mechanical impact, vibration, and shock.
- Simulation of thermal conditions, cooling, and airflow.
Production Support:
- Generate, QC and communicate production documentation to outsourced production.
- CNC machine integration.
- Subcontractor support with regards to the manufacturing of mechanical items.
Tools:
- Most of our designs are made in SolidWorks, supported by DriveWorks design automation.
- As we are facing the implementation of a new PDM/PLM system, it’s beneficial if you have experience with the design of data flow and data management in such systems.
Requirements
You are an educated mechanics design engineer, or you have 5-10 years of experience from relevant positions. We expect you to be an engaged and responsible coworker who is not afraid of putting in that extra effort when necessary. You must be systematic and good at structuring and documenting your work.
You will be working together with our colleagues in Norway, our production unit in Bangkok, and our customers from all over the world, so you need to be able to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing.

We’re searching for a new Production Engineer
We are expanding our team and are looking for a skilled Production Engineer or Production Technician to structure, optimize, and oversee all technical aspects of our outsourced production operations with a primary focus on developing and implementing automated test and configuration solutions.
In addition to our production partner in Thailand, you will work closely with our product development department and our Supply Chain Manager. Together, you will develop systems that handle tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated test and configuration solutions for product programming and quality assurance.
- Structure and optimize outsourced production processes involving mechanics, electronics and firmware.
- Oversee training, pilot runs, and production readiness of products.
- Make technical clarifications and adjustments to ensure efficient production.
- Handle and adjust technical documentation, including CAD drawings and assembly manuals.
Requirements
- Relevant technical education, preferably mechatronics.
- Experience with technical production processes, preferably with elements of both hardware and software.
- Experience from or interest in developing software based production support systems (test jigs, scripts, minor applications).
- Solid understanding of technical documentation, with the ability to make necessary adjustments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and guide others in the production process.

Supply Chain Manager for Outsourced Production
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to oversee our outsourced production operations in Thailand. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire supply chain process for our outsourced production, from procurement of raw materials to final delivery of finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain process for outsourced production in Thailand, including forecasting, procurement, planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements, and develop and maintain QA procedures to guarantee the highest quality products.
- Work closely with our partner in Thailand to ensure that sufficient capacity is available, timely and accurate delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms to optimize costs.
- Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste in our outsourced production operations in Thailand.
- Establish and maintain relationships with our partners in Thailand to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the outsourced production process.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for new product launches, product changes, and supply chain optimization for our outsourced production in Thailand.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Significant experience can compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
- Experience from working with international suppliers and logistics providers.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices and QA procedures for outsourced production.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple outsourced production projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and / or supply chain management software for outsourced production
- Willingness to travel to Thailand and other countries as needed

- Participation in testing at accredited laboratories, pertaining to product certification

Your background
You are a formally trained electronic technician, or you have experience from the electronics industry.
